Beautifully renovated stone barn, in a medieval village location in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, surrounded by craggy peaks and orchards, with Mount Canigou as the backdrop. Only 45 minutes drive from the beaches of the Mediterranean, yet in the heart of French Catalonia with its many frontier castles and Romanesque monasteries, on the very edge of Europe’s largest wilderness area, with excellent opportunities for hiking, mountain biking and fishing.

You will be able to relax in comfortable surroundings. We have made every effort to make the house a quality experience. Entrance to the 3-bedroomed house is from a small courtyard. There is one double and two good-sized single bedrooms. Stylishly furnished throughout with well-equipped kitchen, (fridge/freezer, dish-washer, washing machine etc) and a dining area on the ground floor. A large first floor lounge (Satellite TV and Video Recorder) opens onto a Covered Terrace, and there is a further open Sun Terrace on an upper floor. Prices quoted exclude £70 Security Deposit, and an end of stay Cleaning charge of £30. Linen is provided, but there is an additional Charge for Winter Heating. Phone can be used by prior arrangement. The property is very much our home, whenever we can get away to France, and for that reason we regret no smoking or pets. We very much hope you will like to share it with us. Places of Interest

Prades, some 5 minutes away by car, has a wide range of shops, restaurants, open markets, and museums, including the Pablo Casals Museum. For two weeks at the end of July/beginning August Prades hosts an international chamber music concert season. The City of Perpignan, historic capital of the Kingdom of Majorca; the Côte Vermeille with its fishing ports of Collioure, Port Vendres, and Banyuls, and the sandy beaches of St Cyprien-Plage and Argelès-Plage, are all within a comfortable drive. Ceret, with its modern arts museum and links with Picasso and Matisse, is within easy reach, and Spain is only some 40 minutes drive away. Slightly further afield, 90 minutes drive will bring you to Carcassonne, with its superb medieval walled city. And of course there are the vineyards of Roussillon!
